The Istanbul pogrom, also known as the Istanbul riots or September events, were organized mob attacks directed at Istanbul’s minorities, Greeks, Armenians, and Jews, on 6–7 September 1955. This independent period drama set in Istanbul in 1955 follows a well-known and respected minority Greek businessman, expelled from his beloved country and leaving his wealth and family behind.
